October Update & 5 Things To Be Thankful For

Spooky Season Is Flying By & I Want Things To Slow Down So I Can Enjoy It

October is my favorite month of the year. It has also been the busiest time of the year for my wife and I for more than a decade now.

This year we find ourselves running up against the clock and staying very busy, but not in the same ways as years past. There is more busy work and less compensation for our time. There is more and more yard work popping up as we get the garden ready for winter. There are things to replace around the house and much more upkeep to toss money at. It seems to be flying by, and if it could slow down and hang on a bit longer I’d love to be able to enjoy it some more.

This October is almost done and in the books. Before it’s over I’d love to take on more client work before it ends.

I am available for a bunch of different project work right now and if you have something in mind that I could help you with please get in touch with me. I’d love to help you out.

5 Things To Be Thankful For This Fall

It’s not all haunted houses, doom, gloom, and heavy atmospheres here! There are a ton of things for me to be stoked about. Here’s five things I’m currently thankful for:

  1. Learning After Effects and using the music and footage I’ve been working on to create short 10 second videos. Here is the latest video I uploaded to TikTok.

  2. Decorating for Halloween early. We started in September and have appreciated all the extra time to spend with our decorations, lights, and frights.

  3. Doing decidedly Fall things: going on drives to see the changing foliage, reading spooky books while drinking maple coffee (I want to read Slewfoot by Brom next), snuggling on the couch with my dog Lily under a comfy blanket with a skull design pattern. More of this please!

  4. Using my modular synth. I’ve been taking deeper dives into the modules I already own. I’ve also been planning to take my Moog Subharmonicon out of the Arturia RackBrute 6U case to make room for more modules. I still have to put the Zlob Modular Diode Chaos module together, get some shots of the build, and post about that. I haven’t forgotten about it!

  5. Catching up on personal projects. I’ve got a few things in the works behind the scenes that I’m excited about. Can’t say too much about that just yet. Exciting stuff though!

Okay I’ve got to wrap this one up. Talk soon! Stay spooky!
